POSTMORTEM
What went well:
-Given the time constraints, Good Heavens has an impressive amount of polish.
-Game mechanics are very clearly communicated to the player.
-Destruction of mirrors on asteroid collision allows for a somewhat forgiving experience, while still challenging the player.
-Simplicity of Good Heavens creates a fun and enjoyable experience.
What went wrong:
-Gameplay is somewhat bland and limits player choice.
-Values of planet and asteroid rotation allows for players to sync up planets and mirrors, thus allowing easy destruction of asteroids.
What I learned:
-When working on projects, focus on a singular experience, and deliver that experience.
-Ensure players are challenged and punished in creative and unique ways.
